1. You Found Me-The Fray
This one has been amazing since the first time I heard it. The Fray are one of my favorite modern bands and this song just has so much emotion and power to it that it's inspiring. Finding God is not always easy and never happens the same way for anyone, nor is it always a wanted acceptance at first. I love the image of finding that strength through just a man on a street corner, and being completely altered in that moment.
2. Been A Long Day-Rosi Golan
I have to play this song coming home at least once a week. The calming truth that she sings always calms me down and allows me to just cry or yell or ponder. To me, this song is like that friend that just sits with a hand on your shoulder and quietly listens and never judges.
"I'm finally feeling like it's okay to break into a thousand pieces no one can replace only I can find my way It's been long day."
3. Forgive Me-Group 1 Crew
The reason I love this song is in the title. It wakes me up from a depressing mood and smacks me on the back of the head to remind me how awesome life is and how grateful I should be for everything in my life. Simple but Powerful.
4. Run-Snow Patrol
Okay, A Hundred Million Suns is a brilliant album and this song just makes me smile with it's sincerity and subtle humor.
5. I Do Not Belong-Kutless
I found this song Monday and put it on the mix because I hadn't had time to hear it yet. It's amazing. We all have those moments where we feel out of place and alone. This song reminds me that we may think that, but we never are.
6. Dream- Priscilla Ahn
I cannot lie, I found this one on "Grey's Anatomy" (I've since heard it on ONe Tree Hill too). I see why too. It's just a fun song that rings so true to me it's a little creepy sometimes.
7. Always Love- Nada Surf
PD had Matt on her podcast this week and he was just so great that it reminded me of how much I love them. This is another good to wind down to when I find myself angry with someone. Hate does get you everytime.
8. Do You Believe In Magic? -Lovin' Spoonful
This song changed my life. Haha. It was the theme song to my favorite show "State of Grace" with Mae Whitman when I was little and I still entertain plenty of people that drive past me now as I jam out to it.
9. Carry On My Wayward Son- Kansas
This one scares me every-time it starts. It's just like, BAM!-begin song. I love it. My friend and I blasted it on our way to and from the GA Aquarium and every time I hear it I think of that awesome trip and that great day.
10. Turn! Turn! Turn!- The Byrds
Well, the words to this song were written hundreds of years ago and the music was composed by Pete Seger in the 1950's and it still is just so powerful and fantastic and it reminds me that change is okay and it's necessary-it's how you bring that change about or accept it that matters.
"A time for Love. A time for Hate. A time for peace...I swear it's not too late. "
11. Feels Like Letting Go- Matthew Perryman Jones
I heard this one on an episode of "One Tree Hill" and it just take my breath away. If you listen to the words, you can feel his pain but you can also be inspired by his hope and strength.
"The son I lost becomes the faith I found"
12. One Of Those Days- Joshua Radin
I heard him a couple of years ago and I love that he is now being discovered by the big-guys. He has an awesome story of introducing his music on his own terms. I tend to have one of his songs on all of my mixes and I chose this one because I heard it on oth this week and remembered how great it is. He just has music that makes me calm and peaceful and happy.
13. Once When I Was Little- James Morrison
This one brings me back to the days when life was simple and my neighbor Dan and I would have adventures walking on the abandoned railroad tracks behind our houses, picking blue berries after fishing, sledding on trash-can lids and playing in the mud when my lake was running dry.
14.&15. We Build Then We Break & Syndicate- The Fray
I'm going to see them with Denise in June and am currently learning all of their awesome new CD's tracks.
16. Hope For The Hopeless- A Fine Frenzy
This is another one where the reason is kind of in the title. Who doesn't need to hear that even when it seems your life has fallen to pieces and there is darkness everywhere, that there is always hope and that hope will be your light.
17. Love Song- The Cure
I have a love affair with The Cure and this song lets me know they feel the same about me. :) That, and I also saw my pics from my trip to Wilmington recently and the rivercourt inspired me to play it again. I love the words though-that idea that no matter what's going on or where you are, you can still love someone completely.
18. Standing Still- Buddahead
Just listen to it. Be quiet and really listen and you'll know why I chose it.
19. No One's Gonna Love You- Band Of Horses
BOH came up for some reason in the SGP chat the other day and just couldn't stop listening to them after that so I had to have the mushy-gushy one on my mix haha.
Well I hope I opened up a bit. We'll see. I'm trying though. Welcome to my world guys. Be ready for next week's. :)

This could totally be my playlist. Thank you for opening yourself up more. No standards to live up to. To quote Ali "Just be real." We all love you for you.
