Hilarie Burton=Strength.

First off I have to say that I am so proud of Hilarie. *cue the Bryds: "Turn! Turn! Turn!" I cried today. After I saw Hil's video, I cried. And not because Peyton's leaving Tree Hill or anything, but because instead of being upset about going, Hilarie was worried about us supporters and about whether we thought she was abandoning us. She's always been one of my favorite people, but after seeing and hearing the pain that this has inflicted on her-she's also one of the toughest. I takes a lot, so much, to look beyond yourself in situations like that and I admire her so much for it. Her strength is inspirational and I look up to her because of it. I find that a lot of the time we look up to people for the jobs they have and the money they make and we tend to forget the people they are.
Hilarie Burton is one of the few that is amazing in both her acting as well has her being herself. Peyton Sawyer was who she was because of Hilarie and from the first time I watched the show last February, she was my favorite. Not because she kicked a psycho stalker's and Raven's mascot's butt or because of her amazing car, no it was because of Hilarie and the heart that she put into her, the heart that she puts into everything that she does. I had an unbelieveable expierence this past summer when i got to actually meet her. God had some serious help in that too. Anyways, her spirit and genuine care for everyone of the people that had waited so long to meet her was...humbling. (this is sounding really cheesy I know, but i'm okay with that). She's amazing at what she does and she's amazing at who she is and i will continue to support her whole-heartedly in everything that she does.
Southern Gothic Productions was built on heart and faith from Hilarie, Kelly, Nick, Ali and so many others and I know that their hard work will pay off. There is so much support out there for them and their project, from literally all parts of the world, and the dedication is just as universal. Hilarie has does great things and I know that this company will just be something else to add to her list of awesomeness. She's amazing and I am going to miss seeing her every week more than I can even think about right now, but I am so glad that I found SGP so I can continue to see firsthand what a difference her and the rest of the crew will continue to make in the world.

Sorry for the sappiness, but I'm a fan of honesty and sometimes honesty is sappy.

  1. i cried as well. it was very touching to see her taking us into consideration. im going to assume that she really is going to be leaving one tree hill. i dont think she chose to do so, though. she seemed so touched by her fans concern. i think i saw tears
i would be very sad if couldn't come back. her and chad micheal murray off the show, seems like a waste of cw tv time. but thats just me.

your sentiment is very touching. hilarie is very lucky to have you as a fan =)

  3. completely agree with you, Becca. Gotta love her.

I wanted to write something along the same lines but I'm afraid my feelings on season 7 would somehow subconsciously make it in there, lol!

But you took the words right out of my mouth.

  4. Nice pic! Peyton Sawyer is such a dynamic, intriguing character. I'll be sad to see her go. As for Hilarie, I wish her all the best in her production company. She'll get a lot more creative freedom in that arena in regards to shaping stories.
